We are currently running Umbraco 4.7.2 using Examine 1.3 & are using load balanced servers. The examine indexes are not set to replicate between servers as per recommendations.
We have had on a number of occasions having complaints from users of our site stating that sometimes a term appears in the site search and sometime it doesn't. On further investigation it was found that the examine indexes where out of synce between servers.
We have written a page that monitors the 2 servers and informs us when the 2 indexes are out of sync - it turns out that they are very rarely in sync. We are currently manually re-indexing a number of times a day as a temporary measure.
Does anyone have any advice for running Examine on load balanced servers? Do our indexes need to be replicated?
