Am I being stupid but I can't find a list of releases anywhere. I'm trying to do an upgrade from 4.6 to 4.11.8 but can't find the releases between?

You're not being stupid.
The releases have been temporarily removed due to the security issues discovered recently. As far as I know they won't be up untill they have been patched if they will be up at all.
However there is an unofficial collection here http://code.leekelleher.com/umbraco/archive/, which is maintained by Lee Kelleher. It also features the recent patches etc.
