I have very basic knowledge of HTML. I am trying to do a very simple thing: take the code that iContact generated for me for a newsletter sign-up form, and add it to the Contact page on our website. I open up the HTML view and paste the code, and after I hit the Update button, the form code simply disappears. What am I doing wrong?
Do you know what version of Umbraco you're using? And what sections do you have access to?
The reason why the code you're pasting in to the HTML view is being removed is because the HTML is being cleaned for potentiel bad code to ensure only good code that validates according to W3 standards it being rendered when one is viewing the page.
However this is a setting that can be changed in a configuration file if neccesary.
But please let us know how much you can access - From your description above it sounds like you're using an agency to build the site and then you just update the content yourself?
