Has 6.x been abandoned by HQ?

Version 6.2.0 has been at 100% for several weeks now, yet it still hasn't been released. There isn't even a release date yet.

It seems that all the focus is on 7.x and it feels like 6.x isn't on HQ's radar any more.

I assume that this is not the case, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why 6.2.0 seems to be have been completely ready for release for weeks yet it's still not available for download.

    Quite frustrating.

On this uHangout special there is a question about what happens with v6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XihewZqJcbY

It's not abandoned, but the main focus currently is on v7. 6.2 will probably be the latest v6 version and and after that will only have bugfixes.

It makes sense that 6.2.x is the last before 7, but that still doesn't explain why 6.2.0 has been 100% complete for weeks without being released and available for download.

    Hi Arie

I think the explanation simply is that the HQ has been swamped with v7 work and codegarden 14 preparations. Afterall they are a small team. But yes it's indeed frustrating that it's uncertain wether 6.2 is a stable release or not.

But perhaps you can try tweeting about it using the #umbraco hash-tag after easter - I'm sure that it will be picked up pretty fast.

    Just my 2 cents.

Any update on the 6.2 release yet?

I was thinking of installing the uComponents package for the "Related Links with Media" function but read that components will be included in 6.2...
