I was just playing with the grid editor for the first time in a fresh install of 7.2.1. Looks like each row cell can be configured to allow these editors:
I'm not sure where this list came from. Is it possible to add other property editors, such as a color picker, dropdown list, or Archetype?
Try also the see this http://stream.umbraco.org/video/9961032/thinking-in-seven session from the last year Codegarden where Niels and Per from the HQ talks about the Umbraco 7, and the new options it has, including the grid layout. If want to see the whole session the Per talks about how to add other property editors 34 minutes into the session .
have you got the solution? if yes please share with me , as i stuck with the same.. and my condition is even worse because i have only five - rich text editors, Image ,Macro , embed , Headline and quote :(

I haven't invested much time into the Grid editor yet, but there is a package now that looks promising, as it effectively add support for all property editors to the Grid: https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/doc-type-grid-editor
Hi yogesh,
If you have access to the Umbraco TV, there is a relatively new video chapter about how to build your own property editors http://umbraco.tv/videos/umbraco-v7/developer/extending/property-editors, If you donĀ“t have access you can see the different plans here: http://umbraco.tv/plans-signup/
Hope this helps,
