    Which version to start with?!

I am plannign to start a new project with umbraco for the first time. But I cannot choose between umbraco 5 and 4.

Because we want to use ASP.NET MVC, I'd rather start with 5. But I do not know whether it is stable enough to start the porject with or not. I also don't know when the final release will be out.

Another somehow big problem is that there are little or no documentation and guides for umbraco 5.

    Please help me decide.

Version 5 is very much in the "TBA" stage (http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/about/roadmap/umbraco-50), so I'd start with 4 for now.

    Hope this helps,
    Dan

v5 isn't ready yet and it won't be until the end of this year. So go for v4. There you can choose between the stable release v4.0.3 (v4.0.4 is coming soon) or v4.1 Beta (Beta2 is coming soon too). I am using v4.1 on private sites, but it is a beta. So for production sites I would recommend using v4.0.3
