I've created a package, completed all the required fields, and added all my objects and files to it.
Everything saves properly.
When I hit the publish button, the status bar ticks for about 2 minutes then stops.
No error message or confirmation message is displayed. The package still says it has not been published:

Found the solution by checking the error log. Error indicated nodeId #### could not be found.
Turns out I had deleted some templates and the interface did not remove them from the permissable content types on my document types.
Went into the database and deleted the offending entries in the cmsContentTypeAllowedContentType.
Everything works now.
