    How do I create a custom media type

    Hello!

    I can't seem to find this in the wiki or forums but assume its possible as people are talking about it.

    I need to create two new custom media types, Audio and Video.
    How would I go about doing this, so they appear in the drop down when you create a new media item?

    You can create new ones in the "Settings" --> "Media Types".

    Grrr.. why do I always find out how to it just after I've posted the question!

    K, if anyones silly like me.. settings section and you can see the media types!

     

    Thanks atze.. found that just as you posted! I was assuming you'd have to do it in code.. nicewhen things turn out much simpler than you anticipate!
