I can't seem to find any proper documentation for the javascript api in the backend.

Specifically I'm looking for a way to init the 'Please Wait' that is displayed on a tree item whenever an async action occures (for example when reloading node or deleting it).

I'm developing a context menu item that when hit triggers a relatively long action and I want to signal the user that something is happening.
