.NET custom control as macro not rendering on page
hi,
i have searched the forum & the web and found many posts regarding custom controls & macros in umbraco - but they are all about issues until being able to place the macro in the editor - all that works for me:
what did i do?
i created an assembly (navigation.cs - inheriting from 'WebControl') that i want to use as a kind of sitemap within the rich text editor (it works fine as a control in the template)
created a macro for that assembly (with use & render in editor enabled): all works fine (properties there, no errors...)
placed it in the editor: the expected content is rendered fine in the editor in the backend
on the page: nothing.... no content - just a '<?UMBRACO_MACRO...' is rendered to the html output - when debugging: it not even gets to the assembly at runtime...
can anyone tell me where and if i'm missing something? what am i doing wrong?
i'm using umbraco v 4.7.1.1 (Assembly version: 1.0.4393.24044).
i have used user controls before (with .ascx files) and they work fine... so what's the trick here?
any help is highly appreciated! thank you all reinold
