My client's site has a two stage login that uses a different database for auth and then uses a proxy login to gain access to the non-public nodes. This is all fine and works 100% after a fair bit of graft.
However on one particular PC and one Mac there is a bizarre issue the source of which I need to track down. When logging in on these machines (on any browser) .Net user controls on the site recognise the login fine. The user name is displayed in these controls and all seems well. However the xslt based menuing acts like it does not recognise the login properly (I actually cannot work out what it is doing, unfortunately these machines are quite remote) and the non-public nodes are not accessible (the user is thrown out to the login page).
Can anyone think of any settings that may cause this? This is currently on Umbraco 4.6.1, I may try the update just to verify but am not sure if that will help.
Security issue - environmental?
