I manage SEO and Content for a semi-large company and we have been in discussion for the last 6 months regarding a CMS. I found Umbraco while surfing late night looking for a .net compatible CMS. I've been told that we are looking at AxCMS and/or building our own CMS just to add content and meta fields.
I was told that "The problem with existing CMS (and most CMS platforms) is that it adds overhead and load time to the site." Is this a true statement?
We are currently using Morello, which is a big pain in the ___ and not user friendly. It literally takes me 10 mins just to add 1 article with an image.
My question is, can you provide a bullet list of points I can present to Product and Tech? Of all the solutions I've seen, Umbraco seems to be the clear winner.
