I was wondering if anyone has experienced a problem I am having (4.9.1). I allow users to create nodes through the API, almost like a front end admin panel.
When the user then tries to unpublish or delete the 'on the fly' node they recieve a lucene index error.
Do I some how need to use the API to also update the index?

Had the same problem - it was a bug in early version 4.9 - upgraded to latest version and it cleared.
