    Non UTF-8 Chars

    Hi,

    I have an installation where we use the API to allow users to maintain their own profile pages. I have notcied today that a user used a non standard hex value and it created an error in the XML (stored in the DB).

    Is there a method for stripping these charcters or can anyone please advise on an alternative?
