    Programmatically connect to another Umbraco database

    Hi.

    This is regarding umbraco 6.1.x

    Quick Question. Is it possible to instantiate another ContentService which connects to a second Umbraco database than the one defined in web.xml to fetch data and transfer from one db to another

    (Yes, wWe know about CMSImport and already use it extensively but it we need some custom handling of content in a old database before transfered to new database)

    Hello,

    I am also trying to connect one Umbraco instance to another - I would like to make a very specific sync using this connection.
