Has anyone run into this? I was using DocumentType.GetByAlias("aliasName") and ended up getting an older version of the document type. Doesn't this method, by default, get the latest version of a documenttype? Or could this be some kind of glitch? I even deleted the documenttype altogether in the umbraco admin and this was still grabbing the old version from the database. Right clicking on the parent node and creating the documenttype manually resulted in using the proper, most recent version of the documenttype.
DocumentType.GetByAlias("aliasName") returns old documenttype version or even deleted?

What do you mean by an old version? As far as I'm aware document types aren't versioned in Umbraco
