I would like to use umbraco as a publishing engine. I wan't umbraco to be the editor of choice when it comes to content, promotion editing and so on. The current site has its own platform that we don't wan't to change, but we would like to "add" a CMS to it to make our editors work a little more fun and easy.

Has anyone used umbraco as a publishing engine? What i want, is to build all my functionality in umbraco and use at as a editor for content. Then in my website determine if the current url has got any "cms parts" in it. Then use the umbraco.config to get the information that I want.

So basically we need to identify if the current request url is a cms url, then get the info from umbraco.config. So we need to to be able to parse umbraco.config.
