In a site with many countries and languages we'd like the structure
Region
-Country
--Language Culture Name (ll-CC e.g. en-GB)
but the URLs to be /ll-CC
For this to work I was planning to set the umbracoUrlAlias of the Language Culture Name nodes to for example ll-CC but this doesn't work - site.test/ll-CC 404s.

Attached a print screen for a better explanation. I get a 404 at http://localhost:50030/nl-NL/
You should add 'nl-nl' as hostname path for the node 'nl-NL' (right-click on the node and choose 'Culture and Hostnames').
You are right, I could also set the host. But shouldn't umbracoUrlAlias work like that?
