    Search with Umbraco.TypeSearch and single special characters

    I've created a search page using Umbraco.TypedSearch and I've noticed that when I search on a single special character, (e.g. "ø") I get no result. If I search for "lø", I do get a result. 

    I'm using HttpUtillity.HtmlDecode to parse the search string - so "ø" becomes ø. 

    What do I do to make it search for a single special character?
