I would really like to get a working spellcheck on TinyMCE. I see that there's a working version on Umbraco 4.1, but I don't want to upgrade the entire site just yet. On the TinyMCE website I see that there is a new .NET version that comes with a spellcheck. Has anyone integrated this into Umbraco? Has anyone figured out any other solutions for spellchecking in 4.0.2.1?
When I wrote the code that is backing the spellchecker for 4.1 it did work in 4.0.x, so in theory you should be able to get it all out and run it on your own 4.0.x site.
That said I can't remember exactly what I did and whether I ended up using anything 4.1 based in the end.
Also due to the way TinyMCE is structured making a package would be really quite a pain to achieve.
So you should be able to take the plugin and back port it for Umbraco 4.0.x
