I'm trying to move a large section of our website up one level. There are over 4000 nodes in this section, and after the move, even though the umbraco content tree has the nodes in the correct location, the published location for the majority of the nodes is the old location, breaking all the links.
It seems that the republishing process times out under the large load, although moving a pretty small batch (last try was a subset of just 77 items) also timed out in the gui. Any suggestions for moving and republishing? Would I have more luck trying this through the api rather than the gui?
Moving items in smaller batches is not an appealing option, btw, as these nodes represent articles of a few monthly publications going back about 20 years - each organized by publication > year > month.
