I am in no way an authority on web-accessibility - but I know a little.

The Umbraco back-office is (currently) heavily reliant on JavaScript and framesets, which isn't very accessible by WAI standards.

Taking a wild guess that this is needed for a pitch on a potential government website? :-)

    Cheers, Lee.

The back office is not accessible and there's no current plans making it accessible.

While you could make the back office pass a WAI test it wouldn't mean that anyone would want to use it. Instead, we suggest using the open APIs of Umbraco and make optimized accessible UIs for specific tasks. That will not only satisfy a Government Matrix but also the people who's going to manage it afterwards.
