    How to extend membership system?

    I would like to add custom fields on registration page and save those custom fields into existing user table in Umbraco database.

    Is it possible to do that without affecting the existing structure or is there another way to achieve it?

    Hi,

    Yes you can add extra information for the member. Add the extra member properties to the Membertype in Umbraco and use the ASP.net  profile functionality to edit those properties in your site. Check out this blogpost how to do this

    Hi Richard,

    I am quite new at .Net, still on learning process and at this stage it is very hard to bring lots of pieces together. Would you at least guide me how I can implement it. Then I bring all the pieces together.
