    Custom sections not showing up

I am having trouble creating custom sections in umbraco 4.5.2

I follow all the steps in the video regarding this topic and nothing.  No error, and no custom section?

Is there something else I am not doing?

    1. Edit the umbracoApp table
    2. Edit the umbraco/config/lang/en.xml file
    3. Force the app to restart by editing the web.config

Thats basically all the video mentions

Does the user have access  to the section?

I set it so administrators can view it.  I set it in the umbracoUser2app.  Is that correct?

Yes, once you change permissions they need to log out before the new applications will become visible.

Have you checked the umbracoLog table in the database to see if there's any indication of an error occurring?

Did you assign an Icon? How is your table structure?

    Permissions were wrong, my bad.

One last question, how do I get the dashboards to load in this section... I edited the dashboad.xml  and they arent showing up.
