I was wondering if it is possible to implement a copy functionlity in the media section? Maybe it is something that umbraco guys have on their TODO list. Any thoughts are welcome.
If this is something you would like to see I think you should create an issue about it on codeplex if someone has not done so already.
I guess this functionality can make sense if one needs to reference two different folders with images for some reason. Then it could be nice to copy one or two images to another folder. For instance in a case where you select at folder to create an image gallery...can you follow me Rich? :-)
In this case would it be nicer to have a pointer/picker to choose the 'original' media item? Can't see it makes sense to have 2 physical copies of the same file.
I'm just thinking it would be easier just selecting a folder instead of selecting the images individually - But it's of course always dependant on the context I guess :-)
Copy functionality in Media section?
Hi there,

Thanks, M.
Hi,
In what situation would you need 2 duplicate media items?
Rich
