We have several user controls to extend the usage of Umbraco. Complex, from embedded maps, web service calls, and a new membership provider to simple content items.
The all work very well. However, if the site is forced to use SSL the loading of the pages in the admin pages for content changes is painful.
Each page takes 140 seconds to load which implies a timeout of some kind. Fiddler2 shows nothing but the edit ajax control waiting for said time.
The same problem occurs when adding the macro to a new page.
(Drop SSL and it works fine), let the page run and it eventually works ok.
Is this a bug in the Umbraco code when macros are used on pages?
