    Examine search by parent Document Type

    hi, i have the follwing document types

    Art
    Image
    Text
    Video

    i want to search in examine the follwing arts (Image,Text,Video), but i want to check if parent document type is Art. how can it be done ?

    Hi Eran,

    If you want to use Examine to return results where a parent also meets certain criteria, then I believe you'll also need to add the parent data into a field on the nodes you're searching for - this can be done by handling the GatheringNodeData event on your indexer.
