Does anyone have any tips or common techniques for implementing an advanced search with Examine?
Something like:
Multiple fields searched with a drop down next to each with options like "begins with", "contains", "is"
So that the user can search, say, books, for:
Author begins with "shake" and Title contains "king"
they would get "Shakespeare: King John" and "Shakespeare: King Lear"
Any insights appreciated
Jonathan
It would be nice if the community could answer questions like this as I am looking for the same thing and can't find anything on these forums other than doing a simple text search using Examine.
Jonathan,
I did something a while back did a blog post on it see http://thecogworks.co.uk/blog/posts/2013/january/examiness-hints-and-tips-from-the-trenches-part-7/ so you could use that generate the raw lucene query and use examine with raw query.
