I am building a custom reporting section.  The reports will be grouped into folders.  Umbraco's nodal structure models the way I want to store the data quite well.  I would also like to be able to leverage the node permissions.  And if its possible versioning would be great too, but that isnt really needed.  Is there any documentation around creating and managing custom nodes for custom sections using umbraco's built in support for nodes?

I apologize for the vagueness of the question. I am still trying to nail down exactly how I want to do this
