Hi Guys Does anyone know of a way or attempted to hide a property or a tab of a doc type from specific users? For example, hide a property from a user if they are not an administrator. Thanks Thomas
I've been looking for something like this too... And hide certain doctypes for certain users would be neat too. Might be something for the Umbraco Team to look into? :)
Guys, I have a solution to hiding properties for certain users see well its for roles but you could update the code so its for specific named users. Regards Ismail
Ismail - your link doesn't seem to work anymore, I was interested to see what you had on the subject. Is there somewhere else this is available?
See here http://forum.umbraco.org/yaf_postst8487_Controlling-Access-to-Member-Type-Properties.aspx for further information. This is the original thread where Ismail was helping me out with a solution to this issue.
There's a project called Attack Money Tab Hider which is excellent for this (note that you need an iisreset after amending the config file).
