Public Access, Single User Protection -- allowing member selection!

    Hi

My website has a number of members already created and some pages need to be accessible only by one user.

I thought when I clicked "single user protection" on the Public Access menu it would have given me a list of current members for me to select, but it actually asks for a user name and password.
I tried this and found it actually creates a member and a special prefixed membergroup, so it appears I would need to put a single user in it's own group to enable me to make this work.

This seems silly and I have searched the forums for as I thought it would be a common requirement to assign a single member to a page but I can't find anything, so I am wondering if any of you know if this can be done or if it has been done anywhere?

I think if you just put and existing username in and leave password blank, it will use the current user (but still create the prefixed group)

This does appear to work.. I am going to do a few more tests to see exactly what happens.

    Thanks

Any news on this one? I have a site with many active members and I now want to add a page for each member. It seems obvious to be able to create a page and then pick a member and allow access for that member. Entering their Username and Password is just not feasible or sensible. This has not been thought through.
