Yes there is! Today I released my UmbSearch2 package. You can download this package from http://umbsearch2.codeplex.com. The source code is available as well. I hope it will suit your needs!
UmbSearch2 is the successor of the well-known umbSearch package that was available for Umbraco v3. However this version is for Umbraco v4 ! It uses the Lucene search engine to find DOCUMENTS AND MEDIA items that satisfy a search query. A search action can be performed with multiple search items. You can also use wildcards like ' * ' and ' ? '. The list with search results will highlight the search items you have been looking for.
I have also created a project named simple search for umbraco which iterates through the umbraco.presentation.nodefactory. The searches are defined via xml config file. This weekend I will add a documentation.
UmbSearch for V4
Hi,
is there an "official" umbSearch which works with Umbraco v.4? (I've only been able to find Ubraco Utillities 2.1 with the old umbSearch)
Alternativly, is there a workaround to make umbSearch work with Lucene.Net.dll 2.0.0.4?
Best regards,
Michael Pultz-Hansen

The link has a '.' in the end, it should be: http://umbsearch2.codeplex.com/
I will definatly bookmark it and check it out some time!
