    CMS Import and Wordpress

I am using umbraco 4.7.1 and trying to use CMS Import Pro 2.1.1 to import a wordpress blog for into umbraco.  I exported the files from wordpress for 'Posts', but when I load the file in CMS import, all I get is the message 'Your wordpress file doesn't contain any data'.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Euan,

The error was because of a namespace change in the wordpress file. Wordpress import works now for both the 1.0 and 1.1 version Download a hotfix here http://hotfix.soetemansoftware.nl/CMSImport/ simply copy all binaries over to your bin folder.

    Cheers,

    Richard

    Hi,

I'm getting this error also - I've applied the hotfix but still no joy.  I've emailed you the XML file from Wordpress to see if there is a problem with it.

    cheers

    Alan

    Hi Alan,

It appears they changed the namespace format again. I've created a hotfix which gets this namespace before reading the actual xml so it should work on every version they release now. Hotfix is on the same location.

    Cheers,

    Richard

    Hello,

We've purchased the CMSImport PRO to import all wordpress posts into Umbraco.

When I try to Import Dashboard Settings - It says "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid object name 'CMSImportState'."

When I try to import through an Excel File - It gives me the following error.

Error during load, check the logfile for details Umbraco Exception (DataLayer): SQL helper exception in ExecuteReader

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Tejaswini,

Just replied to your email. The installer couldn't create the database tables. Install them manually and all should be good. The sql script is in the manual, see configuration chapter, or copy from the mail I send you ;-)

    Cheers,

    Richard
