urlReplacing Config as Package Actions

Hi

This is for Umbraco 4.7*

Like many companies we have a base package for all of our websites which creates some standard settings, doc types, templates etc.

Does anybody know if you can set the urlReplacing settings as a Package Action?

I want to be able to add/edit items in umbracoSettings.config in the settings/requestHandler/urlReplacing section. These look like this:

<char org="""></char>
<
char org="'"></char>
<
char org=""></char>
<
char org=""></char>
<
char org=""></char>

Can somebody confirm whether this is possible or not?

Thanks

Ben

Hi Ben,

The Package Actions Contrib wiki, has one called "AddXmlFragment", you should be able to use that one.

Cheers, Lee.

Though it's feasible through custom actions, actually I realised that there was some inconvenience that made custom actions half useless - it seems that a custom action itself should be installed before the package that uses it and with consecutive recycling the application. I would be very happy to be wrong but I haven't managed to install a hand-made action along with a package itself after all. Is this a real limitation of them or I just missed something?
