    Creating new Umbraco module: Where to start?

    Extending Umbraco

    Currently our company uses a combination of Umbraco and an MVC web application (and a slew of load-balancing and DNS tricks) to make two applications work as one.

    We are exploring dissecting the MVC application into umbraco module projects and completely deprecating it. But where should we start? Is there a module development "starter kit" that we could explore in Visual Studio and store in source control?
