XSLT or Macros that do what, exactly? Simply loading a page title to display is going to be faster than loading a page that does, say, intense server work with the file system or whatever. You need to be more specific, but also more pro-active: have you done any testing at all based on your own criteria (that only you really know)? What were the results?
You should set up a minimum-requirements type site and run it through a load balancer, rather than expect us to have this kind of data to hand (and for it to be accurate in the context of your situation).
