I have a couple of multi-site installations that are for large groups (one has 15 sites in it). Doctypes are shared between sites for a number of reasons, one of which being consistency across the group. What I want to do is set a template prefix on the root node of each site that can be used to filter the list of available templates that can be applied to the page, effectively hiding all other templates from the group that are not specific to the current site.
Sounds easy enough, however at the moment I'm not sure (or even if it is possible) I can hook into the control rendering the template list?
Is this for the Templates dropdown on the Properties tab of the Content node? I don't think there's any *easy* way to hook into this, but you can use the umbracoPage.Init AppBase event to inject some jQuery that could remove items from the dropdown. A bit hacky but the only way I can think to achieve this.
