I want to create a custom datatype containing a dropdown list (for statuses) and a datetime picker (for the date/time of the status change).

I'm wondering what the best way to include the date time picker would be?  Has anybody done this (or something similar) before and could share the code?  Otherwise suggestions would be welcome - i'm new to this custom datatype coding thing :)
