    umbraco 4.9 custom admin section

    Hi all,

    Apparently the way you add custom admin sections in umbraco 4.9 has changed.  Can anyone point me in the direction of any documentation that explains the changes?

    The umbracoApp & umbracoAppTree tables are still present, though empty and adding entries has no effect.

    How is one supposed to know about these things?  I read the release notes and did not see a mention of it.

    Hi nug,

    Yes there is changes for custom admin section in U4.9. The umbracoApp & umbracoAppTree tables are replaced by 2 config files applications.config and trees.config inside config folder.

    Makes more sense for such a few number of items :)  Thanks for letting me know.

     

    Edit: and when you've checked the config files and your app still won't load, make sure you've added a record in your umbracoUser2app table :)
