I've not seen this done. If I need navigation with no tree, I just use the tree, but remove the menus from the menu items, so that you just end up with a list of links that can't be expanded, and have no right click options (although sometimes I'll keep things like delete, depending on what the list is).
You can inject javascript into the trees though, so its possible you could inject a script to load something different into the menu iframe (assuming its still in an iframe in the latest version).
The reason for having custom content in the navigation is that I would like to be able to sort and search it taking into account a few variables.
Thanks anyways, maybe someone else could point me in the right direction if it's possible at all :P (everything is possible, but don't know if it's worth the price :))
Instead of tree, just content in left side navigation of custom section?
Hi all,
I am trying to create a custom section (which is easily done) but with a custom navigation (no tree).
So basically I would substitute the tree with an ascx or alike, have anyone been playing with something like this?
Thanks,
Scott

Okay Tim, I will take a look at it.
I might figure out something smart.
