I have a group of documents in the Content-section, now I want to move these documents over to a new section to make it easier to maintain.
I have created a section, but I can't seem to get any further. I want to remove the documents from the content-section, and have them displayed in my custom section, but still have the same features, like "create a new document" and update content.
Well I've already created my own custom sections as well but I've never inherited from the ContentTree itself. You could try that and adjust the visible elements by filtering for a specific document type. But you will never be able to filter / remove them from the standard content tree without deleting them.
I would say to better leave it as it is at the moment.

What do you mean with section. A completely new umbraco backend section with a custom tree?
