Really interested to know who is running ecommerce site through umbraco. Have rolled my own site and usercontrols and was wondering if it is worth releasing the ui it is very basic but the site I use it on has 17,000+ plus products. (It is embroidery site) Checkouts using secure payment provider and does the basic stuff you would expect. Noticed Ucommerce is on the drawing boards and is in beta but was wondering if anyone else is running large scale ecommerce and what there experience is and what basket system and bits they are using. I assume everyone has rolled there own up until this point? Was anyone else crazy like me to try this?
Have you had a look at Commerce for Umbraco (http://commerce4umbraco.codeplex.com/)? I know it's being used on a number of websites already and could be worth a look, plus it's free.
