I am using Umbraco 4.7 which I believed had support for Python, there are lots of python folders and some sample files, but I cannot see how they are used. I've done searches and found some vague information.
I'm not quite sure about the story other than it used to be supported but very few people used it and in later releases it has been canned.
I'm not quite sure but I think Python support got canned when Razor was introduced in v4.6 of Umbraco. There used to be a python folder in the "Developer" section of Umbraco where Python files could be created. However there might be some leftover folders in v4.7 in the source that have not been removed in that version.
So in short: Python is no longer supported out of the box.

What is the story with Python and Umbraco?
Hi Lou
I'm not quite sure about the story other than it used to be supported but very few people used it and in later releases it has been canned.

Hope this helps.
