    content picker or media picker in custom usercontrol

    hi all I am using umbraco 4.7 , I need to add content picker in my usercontrol. I am createing new datatype using usercontrol.

    I have added place holder and tried to add content picker it syas place holder cannot have content picker  it should be ui control

    please advice how to solve this thanks

    anyone can help me on this please, I have manage to add contentpicker to my place holder, but I cannot read the value back.

    I have tried to loop through controls in placeholder and get the value  i cannot read any value.

    then I just tried to read value from control and I am getting object reference to a null object 

    any body would like to share solutions please
