We're looking to setup AD logins for both the back office and the front end. I am looking for some clarification as it appears there are several ways to configure.
Can AD be configured such that users can auto login to the Umbraco back office or must all users enter their AD username and password?
Must all users have a matching account in Umbraco that lines up with their username in AD?
Other than passwords being insync, what is the benefit of using AD?
Is there a way to test or debug the AD connection, credentials, etc? Anything logged when Umbraco fails to login into AD?
