    difference between Users and Members

    Extending Umbraco

    Hello

    I'm beginner un Umbraco ,I do'nt know what is difference between Users and Members?

    Tell me more,please.

    A User is someone who can log into the Umbraco back office (Umbraco itself) where as Members are people who can log into secure section of the front office (the published site).

    To put it in a very high level view:

    Users are content editors

    Members are the public

    This means that you never can share some functionaliry from the member area with between the content editors else you have to extend the Umbraco backoffice....
