I'm currently reviewing Umbraco for use at the company I work for. One thing that caught my eye was that you could create an 'Internal Package Repository', so that you can have packages specific to your clients. I know that this goes against Open-Source values, but there are times where it's just easier to have our files in one spot so that the developers don't need to search all over the place.
You'd best contact Umbraco Corp to ask them about this. I too remembered hearing about it but never much more than whispers. I'm not sure what the status of it is now.
Alternatively you could just create your own tree (and/ or application) which you point to a URL for a repository to load it all in from

The problem is, I can't find any information about how to actually do this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
