Deploy a package: package actions v6.1.6

This is my very first package which requires a after install action

My goal is to add a config section and a config source to the web.config to refer to the package config file.

I have downloaded the source of this project http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/package-actions-contrib http://packageactioncontrib.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest and I have patched with the extension to allow setting the config source.

I added my action to the package but it simply does nothing. It works fine but totally skip the action.

Where do I have to put the dll of package actions contrib? It has to be included in the package? It should be already installed on the umbraco instance I'm loading the package?

    Thank you

    Hi Alex

I have not any particular experience on doing this myself but I think you could perhaps figure out how to do it by having a look at the source code of the Eksponent.CropUp package?

In particular they have an /installer/AddHttpModule.cs file where they modify the web.config - Perhaps this is what you're looking for?

    Hope this helps.

    /Jan
