Looking for umbraco 4 search package

I am looking for an Umbraco4 search pacakage, have tried xslt search and umbsearch2 but they both dont work for me.

xslt search is not for me as it lacks many features and cant do for bigger site.

umbsearch2 i have tried but has many bugs and is not working in a consistent way, have posted errors on forum and codeplex but not resolved.

I am looking for a search which uses lucene and can index pdfs from media section capable of indexing custom media types also.

Dont want to go through the development route so i need a pacakge.

Can some one point me in right direction?

    Thanks

    Vip

Umbraco Examine is a Lucene.NET indexer for Umbraco which supports v4 - http://umbracoexamine.codeplex.com/

It's also going to be provided OOTB as part of 4.1

Does it index pdfs from custom media type?

Do you have a package ready to install and use?

    Hello,

I am having the same problem as Vipul Patel, I used UmbSearch2 1.3 and it avoids me from uploading/removing images in the media section.

Is there any other search package?

Sorry it is not that it avoids me, it gives an exception, then it avoids me from using those uploaded images.

I think there is no good search functionality available in umbraco which i can use out of the box without coding, i am planning to not go for umbraco as our new cms for our company's site as there is nothing that can meet my requirements and i cant wait for ever untill new version of umbraco gets one decent search functionality.  I will have to cancel my umbraco tv subscription soon.

    Hello again,

I tried the package XSLTsearch and I consider it a valuable option.

    you can download it here

I haven't used the updated version, just the version 2.7

    Hope it helps.

i have tried xslt search but it will not work for me as it cannot handle more pages and our site is more than 1000 pages, plus it does not index pdf and can only show search results on same page.
