Hoping someone can share their experience or provide direction on my Umbraco 7 Membership question:

I would like to use Umbraco 7 'In the box' Membership for my project to manage site members. I also have a separate, pre-existing custom database which needs to be associated to Members in a 1 to Many relationship (1 Member to Many custom records from secondary database.)

Is it possible to use Umbraco 7 'In the box' Membership and still be able to associate a Member to custom data - or do I need to override and implement my own custom membership management (with custom member tables, etc.) to make this all happen?
